c1950s compass leg desk by James Leonard for Esavian / ESA. A favourite at VH Interior and an absolute icon of British modernist design.
Two tables are available. They have been fitted with reclaimed oak which was originally a shop counter. The wood has been lightly cleaned and oiled and left unrestored for a rustic authentic antique finish. There are blemishes, ageing and a slight irregularity in the top which adds to its charm. The cast alloy compass legs have been lightly stripped and hand polished to highlight their form and aesthetic.
This item can either be used as a desk or a breakfast / kitchen table. It is high enough (70cm) for four adults to be able to sit in comfort.
