Stunning 1954 Tour de France route map sponsored by Vespa. Reprinted from an original print onto thick matt paper. A superb item and great gift for a Vespa fanatic or someone born in 1954.. These maps were given as supplements with French cycling magazines so you could follow each stage of the tour. There was no Internet, limited TV and most people probably listened to the tour on a radio at home or in bars... We can imagine most of these ended up on walls of bars and homes and each stage was followed and ticked off when completed.. A charming and very nicely drawn piece of wall art.!
