High quality reprint of an iconic Soviet propaganda poster from the mid-1920s,
"This is a Soviet avant-garde children’s book cover/poster design from 1926 for Багаж (Bagazh / “Baggage” or “Luggage”). It was created through the famous collaboration between writer Samuil Marshak and illustrator Vladimir Lebedev. The original was published by the Soviet publishing house Raduga Publishers in Moscow/Leningrad.

About the artist:
Vladimir Vasilyevich Lebedev (26 May 1891 – 21 November 1967) was part of the Russian avant-garde: A painter, a political cartoonist and a poster artist, with an experimental style influenced by Russian folk art, lubki, futurism, constructivism, suprematism, productionism and cubism.
