About the artist:
Jean de Paleologu(or Paleologue) (1855 – 24 November 1942) was aRomanianposter artist, painter, and illustrator, who often usedPalorPALas his signature or logo and was active in France and the United States.[1]
Born inBucharest, he trained in England, then returned to Romania and attended a military academy. He visited London again several times, then moved to Paris.[2]He left Paris for the United States in 1900.[3]
