We have recently acquired a number of Iroko topped science laboratory desks directly from Smithdon school in Hunstanton. From research and from speaking to staff at the school, it appears that these desks were part of the original design spec from 1950-54 by Peter and Alison Smithson.
The desks have been re varnished over the years and ideally this is how we'd sell them on in 'as found' condition, although I've stripped and refinished one to show how they should look without layers of varnish.
