High quality reprint of a Ravi Varma painting of a young woman from the Malabar region (present-day Kerala). Her distinctive hair knot and appearance reflect Malabar styles of the period. The painting became the model for a chromolithograph produced by the Ravi Varma Press, bearing the title Malabari Saundarya, meaning “The Beauty from the Malabar.”
