Esavian Stacking chair by James Leonard for ESA, 1950s, restored set of four

A British style icon. The ubiquitous ply / cast alloy Esavian stacking school chair designed by James Leonard c1948.

This set of four have been gently restored and refinished in a red mahogany dye and oiled / waxed for a healthy looking shine and tone.

An excellent example of midcentury industrial design! .

Beautiful aluminium swooping frames with bent ply inserts. These are becoming very hard to find now.

The chairs have been given a light restoration, with the plywood having been sanded, dyed and oiled for a beautiful antique finish. 

This type of chair works well in industrial inspired spaces, whether residential or commercial.
